Richard Zucker

Rick Zucker is an attorney who received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Brandeis University and his law degree from New York University School of Law. Rick has spent over 25 years in private practice, representing numerous individuals and businesses in varied and complex civil matters. In addition to being an experienced trial and appellate attorney, Rick also has expertise in “alternative dispute resolution” (such as mediation), where parties to a dispute seek to resolve their differences without resorting to the court system. During his career, Rick served for several years as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In addition to previously serving the National Space Society (NSS) as its Executive Vice President and as Chair of its Policy Committee, Rick has also served NSS in many other capacities, including as Vice President of Public Affairs, as a member of its Board of Directors, as Chair of the Society’s grassroots membership visits to Congress (the “Legislative Blitzes”), as head of the NSS’s bequest program, as liaison to the Society’s Board of Governors and Board of Advisors, as Chair of the Policy Implementation Subcommittee, and as a member of numerous other committees. Rick is also the founder and president of the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Space Society. In recognition of his efforts on behalf of the Society, Rick received the National Space Society’s 2008 Chris Pancratz Space Activist of the Year Award and the National Space Society’s 2010 Award for Excellence.
